Charity-minded new kids on the block, Chavín, the ethical jewellery brand, held a cocktail party to celebrate the start of London Jewellery Week and celebrate Anglo-Peruvian trade.
The party was held on 10 June 2013, 6.30-9.00, hosted by Simon Ogivie-Harris (Founder, and MD of CHAVIN), and Henry Conway. Set to a panoramic backdrop on a terrace in a private apartment in Imperial Wharf, guests enjoyed traditional Peruvian food and Pisco Sours. In a short speech, the guest of honour, His Excellency, the Peruvian Ambassador, Sr.Julio Munoz-Deacon said CHAVIN Jewellery had brought the Chavin culture, which pre-dated the Inca culture to the fore, encouraged the importance of Anglo-Peruvian trade and thanked CHAVIN for the essential help that CHAVIN gives to the SOS Children charity, their charity partner. Meryl Davies thanked CHAVIN, on behalf of SOS Children for their help in supporting families in Lima, torn apart by poverty and allowing women here to empower the women of Peru, through the purchase of their jewellery.
